Matt Ryan is the creator/host of Moderated by Matt. Studios, Guilds, Publicists, and Talent turn to Matt to moderate Film & TV events that include Academy & Guild Q&As, premieres, film festival panels, and career retrospectives & anniversaries events. Moderated by Matt Q&As are extensively researched, insightful & entertaining with a focus on the craft and artistry of screenwriters, directors, actors, editors, producers, cinematographers, composers, costume designers, production designers and artists from departments of sound, make-up, animation and VFX. Moderated by Matt’s audience includes in-person Academy & Guild Members as well as on YouTube (4.87 million online views).

Moderated by Matt offers an Interviewing and Production class that teaches broadcast journalism (researching, writing and interviewing filmmakers), multi-camera television production (producing, camera operation, and postproduction editing), field production & interviewing (roundtables, red carpet & press line interviews) and planning Screening/QA public events. The Student produced videos of Q&As are utilized by studios, talent and publicists for promotion. Working professionals and current Students are welcome to apply.

Moderated by Matt is a full-service operation that works with studios on events, securing talent, venue rentals and video production as well as providing studios with in-person and online audiences of Academy & Guild members.
